Kenzo also is a master at games and runs several illegal casino’s, he can also can throw down when needed. Ryder is the leader, Kenzo is the fun one, Diesel is the homicidal maniac, and Garrett is the quiet muscle. I have read a decent amount of dark romance but I stumbled into this one and am just shocked by how they truly and genuinely have tortured, raped, and murdered people and just been like "meh that's us! On the surface, he is Suited, calm, cold and collected with his fire locked down fire behind a wall of ice, still waters run deep with this one.

I’m just happy I read the book before the audio because I would have never gave this story a chance. Then we have Garrett who is the one who lets his demons out to play the most but not like Diesel level. I get there will be an arc in here somewhere (well, actually, I am not sure), feelings will arise , blah blah blah that will make us like them but. But then the rhapsodizing about his past and how he wouldn’t change a thing because it brought him to his little bird . I had originally given the book a 5 star review but after sitting with the story for a while I dropped a star because there could have been more with the subplots that would have made the story more than just a smutty instalove reverse harem.

The grimy- but the baseline in many of those books is that the bad guy isn't REALLY bad, he just fell into the family business/wrong crowd and has a complex of not showing his sweet side due to the trauma of working as he is/needing to be tough to maintain his image to his clan/gang/whatever. Sometimes you don’t need to find a hero, it’s enough to find someone who will stand with you in the dark and not be afraid of blood and death. We also know that Roxy likes pain and Diesel likes to cause pain so they do that when they are intimate.

The leader is Ryder, he wears a suit and runs the Viper corporation, which is a legitimate company worth millions and has a lot of smaller companies underneath. I just think as a bar owner, she would know when to act crass and tough and when to act like a lady.It ruined the whole story, I could not listen to the story because I spent the whole time listening to the mis-pronunciation of every other word. Halfway through the book, which is as far as I could force myself to get, it is essentially 95% ridiculous sex scenes, and 5% pointless "story.
