Parker Outside the Box - 5 stars - I loved this story. It was just a beautiful story of friendship and standing up for what you believe in, even if it is going against people you love. Oh! This story was gorgeous.

My favourite part was working with Sasha who was the vocal coach. She helped me with expressing my emotions in the way I sing and also taught me how to sing with a powerful and strong voice. I am grateful that Sasha was there to help me before I recorded my song as it really helped me and everything went well. I also enjoyed experiencing shooting my own music video for the first time. It was a great experience. What drew you to music? The most influential musician in my life is undoubtedly Alessia Cara. It is the uniqueness and authenticity of Alessia's music that made me fall in love with her music. The cleverness ofAlessia's lyrics inspires me, and I am inspired by her talent as a songwriter. Music like hers has helped me to heal during some of my toughest times, and that is what I hope to do with my own songs. The song I chose to take the mic is a song from High School Musical The Musical the Series. I wanted to sing this song because it was related to what I was going through at the start of this year! Even though this was not my own song, I got the chance to add my own spin to it with the assistance of the Take the Mic Musical Director. This song asks the question of whether the decision you made was the right one, and what life would have been like if you made a different decision. The song resonated with me because there were so many different choices I had to make after high school, and I thought a lot about how different my life could be depending on how I chose. What has been the best part of the Take the Mic experience so far? This book was fantastic. I started it this morning, thinking I'd read a couple of stories here and there over the next few days, but I couldn't put it down. It's such a great blend of different styles and voices. But i didn't feel overly connected to Ruth.
