About this deal

As for the Cerberus sub ohm tank, even though it’s been around for a while now, it’s still a really good sub ohm tank. I liked the top fill mechanism, very easy and straight forward to fill. Coil performance was impressive and I will be trying the other coil options. The only downside was the 2ml capacity (damn TPD). Using this on a daily basis will require getting a bigger glass to increase its capacity. Overall, this really is a solid, powerful and robust piece of kit, something we’ve come to expect from the quality and name of Geekvape. Read on and find out just what we thought. Selecting this option will automatically balance the levels of each of the batteries. It will draw more charge from the more powerful battery to self-level the two batteries together. Geekvape Cerberus Sub Ohm Tank | Performance

After only a few months I got the dreaded “battery too low” error when nothing had happened to the mod at all. After approximately 3 minutes, the screen goes blank. Not something I expected to happen. At this point I wasn’t sure if the batteries were fully charged or not. Pressing any button brings up the screen again showing the batteries are still charging. Saying this, I have heard that some people have been reporting this condition on their Aegis X mod. Hopefully Geekvape take this on board and resolve this issue soon. Firing the Aegis X is carried out by a fairly large bevelled button on the front above the two smaller +/- bevelled buttons. The response and feel of the buttons is very positive with no button rattle at all. The other side houses the massive 2.4 inch colored OLED display. This screen is a beauty! Very clear and very crisp, it shows coil resistance, volts, amps, a puff counter, wattage or temperature and the battery status of each individual battery.Although the manual touches on the menu settings, it’s a bit vague to say the least and it didn’t come all that easy to me. I would recommend before first use having a good play with the different menus before you fit the tank.

Because of its unique safety features, this Geekvape device is perfect for vapers who lead highly active lifestyles. Besides, it is ideal for military members on deployment, hikers who will be in the wilderness for several days, and people who are active in general. Once the top cap is removed, there are two decent sized slots to allow for a large tip e-liquid bottle to be used. Filling can be carried out using either slot. As expected, there are various fire modes, variable power (5w – 200w) Temp Control (100c- 315c) and Bypass mode. All the expected safety features are there too, short circuit, battery overvoltage and so on. Cerberus Tank

A typical slide style box that we’re accustomed to see from china houses the Aegis X and bundled Cerberus tank. Inside the box, you’ll find a micro USB charging cable, a spare coil for your Cerberus, some o-rings and spares as well as some reading material. Fair warning, keep the manual, you’ll need it. Many safety features are worth noting. The Aegis X vape has typical safety features of a box mod like a 10-second cut-off, short circuit, overcharge, overheat, and overcurrent protection. Still, it also has extra safeguards that make it more durable. New coils generally last one to two weeks depending on how often they are used and if they are properly broken in. The life of the coils can be extended with proper care and maintenance. The GeekVape Aegis X Tank Gaining access to the menu functions of the Aegis X is carried out by the fire button and the +/- buttons. It’s worth having a play around with the menu options to familiarize yourself with the structure of them. Accessing the menu structure is achieved using the fire button and the +/- buttons (more on this later in the functionality section).

As the supplied coils were Kanthal A1, I used another tank with SS coils to see how the TC performed on the Aegis X. I will be honest and say I don’t normally vape with TC but did find that everything seemed to work as I expected. Geek Vape Aegis X 200W | Battery Performance It’s powered by dual external 18650 batteries incorporating the advanced AS 2.0 chip which provides the control, functionality and a host of safety features. The Aegis X fires up to 200W, providing modes for Power (W), Temperature Control (TC), Variable Power Curve (VPC) and Bypass. When the Aegis X 200W mod is charging, it shows the dual batteries icon with a cycling scale, indicating the status of the batteries. This function will allow you to specify different wattages that can be applied to your coil over a vape cycle to fully customize your vaping experience. There are 6 variable wattage settings, each adjustable from 5W to 200W with each setting being adjustable over a time range of 0.5 seconds to 1.2 seconds. The Geekvape Aegis X kit comes with several accessories that are essential to the device’s operation. Increasing the wattage to 40W certainly produced a harder hit improving the flavor and vapor no end. Gradually increasing the wattage in 10W increments, all the way to 80W was amazing. Flavor and vapor was intense but too powerful for me. Fair to say though, I didn’t have any dry hits but did have to keep an eye on the e-liquid level as it was decreasing at an alarming rate. Charging time from full discharge to fully charged will take approximately 4 hours when using a 5V/2A source. Obviously this does depend on the capacity of the batteries you’re using.
