Into the clouds... and beyond! Cloudburst is the first compact, standard-sized stompbox from leading guitar FX wizards Strymon. This ethereal-sounding reverb pedal is designed for experimental musicians who love to drench chords and melodies with immersive, dreamy, modulated ambience — allowing your tone to bloom in a way that draws music out of you effortlessly and keeps you engaged for hours on end! Power requirements: maximum 9 volts DC center-negative, with a minimum of 250mA (power supply NOT included 🙄) Stamp on the Clipping footswitch and it engages the alternative clipping options, all six of which are accessed via an oxblood-coloured rotary knob. The other footswitch bypasses/engages the effect. In addition, we wanted to provide a whole new variety of sounds never before heard from a reverb pedal, which we accomplished in part with the addition of our new Ensemble effect. Ensemble’s design ensures a natural and artifact-free interaction between the reverb and your guitar signal, so with the switch in its mezzo piano (or “moderately soft”) position, it can subtly enhance the character of the reverberated signal, while it can yield huge string ensemble effects reminiscent of vintage polyphonic “string machine” synthesizers when set to forte .

Expression pedal input for connecting a TRS expression pedal, MiniSwitch, MultiSwitch Plus, or TRS MIDI connection Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, the Strymon Cloudburst is a reverb pedal that’s easy to use and hard to put down. With its intuitive controls, tap tempo footswitch, and expression pedal inputs, you’ll be able to create dynamic soundscapes that’ll blow your audience away. And, with its rugged construction, you can take this pedal anywhere without worrying about it breaking down. The H9 from Eventide has become a ubiquitous part of many a live and studio setup with performers and producers of all disciplines. And at nearly 10 years old, it’s time for a successor, the H90 Harmonizer. The Newest Incarnation - Taking the acclaimed 'Cloud' preset from the larger scale Big Sky pedal and refining it into a more pedalboard-friendly stompbox, making it perfect for guitarists with limited space. Stuffed into a feather-light yet sturdy Aluminium chassis, the Strymon Cloudburst pedal can handle the demands of the modern performer. The Decay knob on Cloudburst does some serious heavy lifting. Not only does it control the duration of the reverb tail, but it also dramatically transforms the character of the reverb via numerous continuous under-the-hood adjustments, allowing you to discover countless new musical and inspiring sounds at different points all along the dial. Even tiny adjustments of this knob can yield noticeable changes to the character of the reverb. Ensemble The Ensemble switch is another exciting feature of the Cloudburst. It opens up a world of previously unheard, captivating sounds that respond dynamically to your guitar signal. Whether you want to add harmonically rich, ethereal dimensions to your ambient soundscapes or hear a lush synthetic string section enhance your guitar playing, this switch has got you covered. Unleash your creative potential with the versatile Strymon Cloudburst Reverb Pedal Pre-Delay and Mix controls are also present, and behave much as you’d expect, with the latter offering a Kill-Dry mode for use in parallel effects loops, and an analogue dry path option, both of which are accessible via additional power-up modes. I/O

Mix does just as you’d expect, going from 100% dry to 100% wet, unless set up in Dry Kill mode, but the real secret weapon is the three‑way Ensemble switch at the top of the panel, which can be off or set to one of two intensities. This isn’t based on conventional ensemble effects that use multi‑layered chorus and so on, but rather it brings in some additional harmonics that sound almost synth‑like. There are hints of octave‑up and an increase in harmonic density and richness, but this is no conventional shimmer reverb either. Apparently the effect is achieved by splitting the signal into 48 frequency bands and then new harmonics and partials are generated based on these frequencies. (The closest technology I can think of is Roland’s HRM harmonic modelling, used in the Boss SY‑series guitar synths and VG guitar pedals.) Enabling guitarists and producers alike to achieve luscious soundscapes at the twist of a knob, the Cloudburst takes reverberation technology to incredible heights courtesy of brand-new ENSEMBLE mode. The Strymon Cloudburst Reverb pedal is a powerful tool for guitarists and sound engineers alike. With its robust sound, wide range of effects, and intuitive controls, the Cloudburst is a great choice for creating unique and expressive sounds.
