About this deal

Based on my observations via my 4K UHD Blu-ray player, this runs bitrates as high as 85 to 100Mbps roughly what I saw it peak at. I watched it too and thought it was very good, Austin has Elvis's moves off to a T This was bought as a gift and the recipient loved it.

Elvis" lenses made from special glass that produced an image both slightly less sharp and with more aberration than traditional ones. These all were important relationships, and in fairness, the people are depicted briefly off and on via the film but not for very long. trademark excessive visual style and the mostly distracting presence of a miscast Tom Hanks as Elvis' infamous manager, "Colonel" Tom Parker.

Elvis-Bringing A Legend to Life - a short archival featurette with some raw with footage from the shooting of Elvis and on-locationl interviews with director John Carpenter and actor Kurt Russel. We see Elvis’s childhood upbringing, growing up in poverty in Tupelo, Mississippi, and then eventually moving to Memphis, Tennessee. It’s certainly worth noting that the critics like the film, so much that it carries [at the time of writing] a “Certified Fresh” badge over at Rotten Tomatoes. And then it begins, and some sort of insanity is immediately established, promising a cinematic ride for viewers that’s engineered to leave them breathless.

As much as I love the 1979 TV Movie “Elvis” directed by John Carpenter, I can’t say that Kurt Russell performed those songs himself like in this 2022 film with Butler. This unique and dazzling tale of the King of Rock N' Roll looks and sounds wonderful, but the long run time and the uneven pace keep it from hitting its target. I's a great-looking disc that, while obviously coming in second behind the 4K disc, will be more than satisfactory for small to medium-sized displays.Luhrmann is Australian and he and a few others talk about how Australia and Los Angeles were used as the locations for the film. John Carpenter's "Elvis" (1979) arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of independent distributors Shout Factory. Shout Factory's recent release of John Carpenter's Elvis offers the same technical presentation and bonus features that Freemantle Home Entertainment's out of print release offered in 2010.

reasonably accurate portrayal of what you'll see on a properly calibrated setup -- and if you're upscaling to 4K, it may prove to be more impressive still. In the following years, Carpenter and Russell teamed up on such legendary films as Escape from New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from L. Starring Dale Midkiff as Elvis and Susan Walters as Priscilla, the movie stays true to what Priscilla wrote in conjunction with Sandra Harmon and was a ratings blockbuster when aired on TV over two nights in 1988. All along the way, you’ll feel a very deep amount of bass in the speakers as well as strong LFE coming from the subwoofer.

Coming this week from Venus Productions is 'The Guitar Player Worth A Damn', volume 4 in their 'The King in Motion' series. Even though Carpenter's film does not offer a balanced look at Elvis' life and career, it still gets a lot of things right. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. The same goes for his Elvis picture, however, Luhrmann takes an unconventional approach once again to tell this tragic tale of Elvis's life and career.

Most of the time the King of Rock 'n' Roll is a happy, enthusiastic, full of energy man who wants nothing more than to sing in front of his fans. The 168-pages contain over 150 rare and unknown photos of the Boston concert, from private collections, mainly in color and also the unedited news reviews (the good and the bad ones), personal stories and little known facts on this concert.
