My problem is that all the liquorice that I’ve tried so far (and, believe me, I‘ve been sampling the stuff for many, many years – since the 1940’s, in fact) either tastes like dark treacle rather than liquorice, or it has no aniseed, or it’s too hard, or it’s too soft, or it’s just cloyingly, stickily sweet.e Scottish Islands, Highlands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands etc) may take up to 2 days depending on transportation limitations.
