If any reader out there is questioning whether or not to read Losing Hope all I can say is please do not give it a second thought.

While so much of this book is just completely new, even the scenes that are the same as in Hopeless feel SO special when you read them because a) they are just awesome scenes to relive period, and b) the slightly different angle on them gives them just enough of a twist to make you fall in love with them all over again. My 1 star doesn't mean that the book was horrible and it's not given for the same reasons I usually give one star for. Don't hate me, but I gave up on two popular books that came out with alternate pov of the same stories. Yes, there are some recapped moments, but there was so much more that I learned about Holder in this book.If the woman wrote the insert directions on a box of tampons, I don't care what point of view it was written in; I'd just have my period all the time!

He puts the phone to his ear and never stops looking at me as we both stand still and wait for Les to answer. While events in our lives, especially the traumatic ones, shape the people we become, they do not define us.

Holder and Sky's story is filled with heartbreaking moments and reading their story from Holder's POV didn't make it any less emotional. It was nice getting to see more of Holder's relationship with Daniel and Breckin and it made me laugh when they were playing Modern Warfare. The more time they spend together, the more Holder starts to fall in love with the girl Sky is now and the more he wishes that she wouldn't be Hope so that their present won't be affected by the events that happened in the past. Friends Daniel, Six, Holder, Sky, and Breckin are planning to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with a Friendsgiving dinner at Sky's parents' house. I don't why I was taken back by how intense he is especially since I thought that in the first book.
