Since 2015 the series has been expanded with a parallel set of novels "as told by Christian": Grey follows the events of Fifty Shades of Grey but from the perspective of Christian Grey, Darker (2017) and Freed (2021) do the same for Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, respectively. I suspect he has been overgenerous in his payment, and the thought leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, but I dismiss it and try to keep my mind as numb and as blank as possible. I'm completely enamored of both Christian and Ana, and I can't wait to see how this journey ends for them in the final installment. To kill a mocking bird by Harper Lee, it gave the same details never leaving no doubt as to where it took place, what was used or seen, even the weather. I have to be able to envision my own kind of hero/heroine in that slot, and if the author has made me think of say, Jimmy Smits, I'm not going to be too keen on the idea of imagining him sexing the heroine.His attempts to climb out of his situation and pursue a healthier mental lifestyle are greeted with enthusiasm. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Ana cannot resist. Focused way too much on having sex every five minutes - but with more in the story line even that could have been forgiven. Note: This book contains explicit language and sexual situations, including bondage, spanking, an act of public intimacy, use of sex toys, and anal play, which some readers may find offensive.

I loved watching Christian become the person he's supposed to be, someone a little carefree, happy and most of all loved - and all this is down to Ana. What I enjoyed most about this book was the fact there were so many more fun times - the charity event, the boat and the club. She doesn't want to leave the apartment because she's afraid of what will happen between Christian and Loony Tunes!

Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, the Fifty Shades trilogy will obsess you, possess you and stay with you forever.
