About this deal

In 2014, the engines were redesigned, with a new, less powerful (but faster) motor, a longer wheelbase, unpainted buffers, silver siderods and couplers, printed details and interchangeable chassis. The Thomas model used for advertising the Fix 'em Up Friends set is different than the model from the set. Despite the All Around Sodor Deluxe Set showing the Push Along Emily with her number on marketing, she does not actually have her number on the actual toy itself. The 2021 reissue of the Push Along Emily features her 12.

A number of individual copies of Gator's model are only painted the lighter shade of green, while most Gator models are accurately painted two-tone green. Harvey and Mighty Mac are unpowered. A powered coach (a works unit coach for Harvey and a cream and green coach for Mighty Mac) is used to push them. This is because Harvey's crane takes up too much space to house a battery, as does Mighty Mac's end-swapping function. These engines and their respective coaches have special couplers to make them easier to push. Etienne's prototype shows him with siderods. This error is also present on Raul and Gustavo, who feature them on their final models. Edward's 2014 model's pilot wheels are moulded into his running board and the prototype of the model shows them unpainted. The wheels were coloured for the final release. Available in both his original and new liveries; his original one was from the Treasure Chase Set, while the new one is available with HugoA model of Percy (minus his face) and the mail car can be seen on top of a cake in the 2022 film, Smile. Sonny's model reuses Thomas's footplate and there is a noticeable gap under his smokebox, much like with Hong Mei's Adventures model. Other characters in the range, such as Stepney, Arthur, Molly, Neville, Hank, BoCo, Dodge, Dennis, Duke, Freddie, Colin, and some of the other Sodor Construction Company vehicles, never appeared in the CGI series at all, although some were originally considered to return in CGI at some point or were at least indirectly mentioned in the CGI series.

Additionally, his front lamp is not fully painted apart from the outer circle portion of said lamp. This was later fixed on his Rainbow model. In a prototype, as well as the box for the Motorized "All Around Sodor Deluxe Set", shows Emily's model (one of the many extras included in the set) with number 12 on her tender, following its acquisition in Emily to the Rescue. It would have been the first piece of merchandise to depict Emily with her number after gaining it in Series 24. However, Emily did not receive her 12 until late 2020 in her own single release. Harold's model is simply a re-release of the 2013 Take-n-Play/2017 Adventures model without noticeable changes. It is also dated 2013 on the bottom.

As of late 2020/early 2021, newer engines in the range now have painted pupils, similar to the ones in the Wood and Motorized ranges. The engines also have their respective names printed on their chassis in white, which is very similar to vehicles in the Wooden Railway line. Some of the earlier engines from this range also had this change. Talking Diesel uses his Misty Island Rescue horn sound while the UK/US redesigned one has his original horn sound. All engines have four to six wheels, and the wheels on each model (including the tenders) are all the same size. Much like his Plarail model, Winston has a front coupling and a Sir Topham Hatt figurine, but unlike the Plarail model, the Motorized version of said figurine is not removable.

Monty's model was unofficially released in Poland stores and has become exceptionally rare, however some models have been found in other countries such as the UK.

InstructionSheets

Because many consumers were opening the wrong compartment while attempting to change the batteries, all of the screws - except for the battery door screw - have been changed to tamper-proof screws with triangular heads. This makes replacing the couplers impossible. This change took effect March 15, 2010. Some of the newer tender engines have their battery compartments as part of their motors, contained within the engine boiler so as to avoid having a wire that could break between the two parts of the engine. As of 2014, this change has been made to every engine as they all use the same chassis.

A. We recommend using alkaline batteries with our products, as they are great for long-term use and help optimize performance. We don't recommend using Carbon-Zinc batteries. While Carbon-Zinc batteries may work well with low-power devices, they can drain after a short period of time and cause certain products to not function properly. Sonny was the last new CGI-based character introduced in the range. Following the show's conclusion and prior to the launch of the All Engines Go range, the Push Along range shifted to creating differently decorated variants of previous model castings. Additionally, James' prototype incorrectly portrayed him as an 0-6-2 and his tender had a removable coal load, like the Motorized Interactive Talking James from the original series. As with the series itself, the engines' wheels no longer have spokes or side rods. However, a hole exists for side rods on the driving wheels. This can be avoided by having a singular Push Along sit between the Adventures model and Push Along tender engine.

FAQ

Toby's model has openings on his side plates, despite the fact each other toy before has the side plates conceal the wheels in some way or another. His tail lamp is also unpainted. All tenders are made of plastic, share the same four-wheel chassis, and have buffers located on the wrong side. In the Winged Thomas set, Annie and Clarabel are painted blue, similarly to the way they appeared in Thomas' dream sequence in the Streamlining scene from The Great Race, except they are wearing goggles.
