Description

Eucerin Aquaphor Body Ointment Spray is delivered via an innovative spray dispenser making it easy to treat even hard-to-reach areas of the body. It distributes ointment evenly and continuously and can even be used upside down. Aquaphor is great for slugging because it creates an occlusive barrier on your skin to keep hydration in all night long. It acts like a skincare blanket, swaddling all the good-for-you ingredients from your serums, toners, and moisturizers close to your skin to make them more effective. But on its own, occlusives don’t actually do any of the moisturizing. The oil, which has a 4.7-star rating, comes in a smaller 4-ounce bottle, but a little bit goes a long way, according to the manufacturer. In addition to being free of petroleum, it's has no parabens, sulphates, silicones, or phthalates. Eucerin Aquaphor repairing ointment — clinically and dermatologically proven to accelerate skin regeneration. (n.d.). Can you use Aquaphor as a daily moisturizer? Not exactly. The brand doesn’t add moisture to the skin – it keeps existing moisture there instead of letting it evaporate. If you want to add extra moisture to the skin, then apply your daily moisturizer and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor on top of that. It will ensure that your moisturizing products don’t evaporate so they can hydrate your skin.

It has no colourants, fragrance and preservatives that can irritate your skin, so is recommended for many types of sensitive skin. During your aftercare routine, instead of adding ointment, apply a thin layer of lotion at least twice a day. However, you might need to apply lotion as much as up to four times a day to keep your healing tattoo hydrated.Because Aquaphor creates a barrier over the skin, it’s important to wash your skin before applying it to prevent trapping in dirt or bacteria. Essentially, it’s almost like the American version of Vaseline. Yes, we know your mind probably went straight to Puberty Blues, but let's stay focused in the name of stellar skin, shall we? Beth Gillette is the beauty editor at Cosmopolitan with five years of experience researching, writing, and editing skincare stories that range from moisturizers for acne-prone skin to eye creams for dark circles. She’s an authority in all skincare categories, but is an expert when it comes to putting Aquaphor on your face, since she's been doing it for years (under the guidance of dermatologists and aestheticians, of course).

Don’t put your tattoo in direct sunlight or go tanning for 2 to 3 weeks. Instead, make sure you cover it with loose-fitting clothing, but not sunscreen. After your tattoo heals, it’s fine to expose it to sunlight. But note that unprotected sun exposure will fade your tattoo, so once your tattoo is healed, it’s advisable to use sunscreen and other forms of sun protection when you head outside.

Maybe you’re out of your go-to brow product, or are looking for a cost-efficient option. Birnur Aral, Ph.D., Director of the Health, Beauty & Environmental Sciences Lab of the Good Housekeeping Institute, recommends dabbing a small amount of Aquaphor Healing Ointment onto your arches and brushing them into place. The formula’s heavy texture gives brow stylers a run for their money while delivering major hydration to the area. It can make your makeup look more vibrant. It’s uncommon for people to experience negative reactions to Aquaphor and other petrolatum products. But in rare cases, Aquaphor is known to cause an allergic reaction that can cause a rash. Vaseline is best used to prevent dry or chapped lips. The Vaseline brand does have other products that are formulated specifically for lips, with additional moisturizing ingredients like aloe and cocoa butter. Vaseline might be better for wound healing
