Steamy, often laugh-out-loud funny and emotional' Jennifer L. Armentrout, # 1 New York Times bestselling author of From Blood and Ash Scandalous gossip, wild parties, and forbidden love - witness what the gods do after dark in this stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of mythology's best-known stories. Hades struggles to find support in his personal life, with Zeus trivializing his feelings and Minthe resorting to abusive patterns in their relationship. And while Hades tries to create healthier boundaries where he can—like finally putting a stop to his sporadic, revenge-fueled hookups with Hera—he still feels lonely and adrift. I have to say this was so much more scandalous because for one- Hades and Hera. Didn’t see that one coming. And secondly Persephone and Ares. Really didn’t not see that one coming. Although Eros’ reaction to Persephone telling him that he “hooked up” with his dad was hilarious. Oh thirdly, Zeus and with his son’s girlfriend, Aphrodite. Oh Zeus, Hera doesn’t deserve you.

Hebe is the goddess of youth. She is the youngest daughter of Zeus and Hera. She also has the ability to concoct numerous types of alcoholic beverages. She is presented as a yellow girl with long hair. All of Olympus—and the Underworld—are talking about the God of the Dead and the sprightly daughter of Demeter. But despite the rumors of their romance, Hades and Persephone have plenty to navigate on their own.Hades finds her there when he gets home, takes her in, and lets her stay the night. Persephone wakes up very confused and embarrassed, but Hades explains the situation to her and she relaxes a little bit more. They talk (and fliiiirrt) and soon it becomes clear Persephone is equally smitten with the king of the dead. He takes her home, and after that, they can hardly stop thinking about each other. A refreshingly modern and surprisingly poignant take on the Hades and Persephone myth . . . steamy, often laugh-out-loud funny, and emotional.”—Jennifer L. Oké, Hades a kutyusaival teljesen levett a lábamról, és a napom fénypontja az volt, amikor együtt aludt az egyikükkel. :D♥ Witness what the gods do after dark inthe sixth volume of astylish and contemporary reimagining ofone of the best-known stories inGreek mythology, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes content from creator Rachel Smythe. Lore Olympus is a modern spin on the original tale of Hades kidnapping Persephone to be his wife (doesn't happen like that in this version obviously, it's 2021 people). In this retelling, Persephone is a college student, studying at a university in Olympus. She grew up living a rather sheltered life with an overprotective mother (Demeter), who has only allowed her to come to the city because she's on a scholarship from the Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, meaning she has to remain a sacred virgin. Persephone is staying with Artemis, one of the members of the organization.Witness what the gods do after dark in the fourth volume of a stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of the best-known stories in Greek mythology, featuring a brand-new, exclusive short story from creator Rachel Smythe. reading these bind ups physically has really been such a treat for me over the last year. the art is so beautiful and intriguing, the characters are endearing and finding ways into my heart, and i just really appreciate what this creator is doing with this project. yes, there is a romance that will obviously eventually happen, but this really is a series about abuse and all the different ways that can take shape and, in turn, shape people and their lives. I really liked this book! This was a great retelling of Hades and Persephone with a modern twist. This graphic novel follows Persephone as she tries to find her place in Olympus and continues to develop feelings for Hades. Persephone and Hades must untangle their past to move towards a brighter future. Psyche is a beautiful human from the Mortal Realm. She was originally a princess from an abusive household and who was to be wed to an elderly, wealthy merchant before Eros abducted her. She currently lives in Olympus, originally disguised as a purple nymph who served Aphrodite. Later, during a confrontation with Apollo, Eros discovers her in disguise, breaking Aphrodite's spell and officially reuniting the two. Rather than punishing her, due to her being disguised as a nymph to stay in Olympus, and for shooting Apollo with an arrow. Zeus has her drink ambrosia, which makes her immortal and turns her into the goddess of the soul, and she gains a set of purple wings; in exchange, she has to keep a close eye on Apollo. Persephone feels equally ostracized as her classmates shun her for her connection to Hades, and she can find no refuge at home, with Apollo constantly dropping by unannounced and pushing his unwelcome advances. And on top of it all, the wrathful god of war, Ares, has returned to Olympus to dredge up his sordid history with the goddess of spring, threatening to surface Persephone's dark and mysterious past and ruin her tenuous position in the land of the gods.

Volume one only covers episo Smart, sexy, romantic, and full of heart . . . an unforgettable and startlingly relatable epic that combines addictive storytelling, engaging characters, and a lush, unmistakable art style.” —Kami Garcia, New York Times bestselling author of Teen Titans: Raven and coauthor of Beautiful Creatures If eyes could eat, [ Lore Olympus] would be a feast. Smythe’s artistic style features bright washes of color and bold, suggestive lines. . . . It’s paced as a soap opera, all drawn-out tensions and long-simmering secrets, and I, for one, am thrilled to be along for the ride.” — New York Times Book Review Okay, but why is this so good? I legit can't put it down, this is even better than the first book. I already knew the characters were interesting, but damn, aren't they interesting? I pretty much have them all mapped out in my head, things like who is heading directly towards my 'I'll just pretend you don't exist' list and 'you have my full interest' list. I guess it's safe to say Hera and Hades are way up their game over here, they are hands down, giving off the best kind of energy. Rachel Smythe put so much depth and uniqueness in all of them that it was hard to single them out. Let's see, maybe Apollo? I even liked Minthe 'the other woman' but Apollo cuts a nice shot to the exception rule. I hope he tones down the douchiness, cause I'd really hate to hate my girl Artemis's brother, she's such a sweetheart. The art style and storyline are put together so well, no wonder it's so addictive. In an article for The Daily Dot, columnist Nahila Bonfiglio recommended the webcomic, saying: "There are many reasons to read Lore Olympus, but the simplest is to see Smythe's brilliant take on the myth. Her story is flawlessly enthralling, heartwarming, and painful. The characters confront timeless issues through a modern lens, breaking down the romanticization of rape and abduction with grace and intrigue. Smythe updates the series every Sunday, and new readers will find themselves awaiting that notification with bated breath." Bonfiglio also praised the art, saying: "[Smythe's] captivating way of telling her tale often involves carefully considered colors, panels completely without words and even—sometimes—music." [3]

Rachel Smythe’s Lore Olympus is a stunning reimagining of classical myth. Smythe adapts the story of Persephone and Hades, removing it from its dark origins and building a brand-new epic with her own complex and beautiful characters. The rest of the gods, nymphs, and creatures of Smythe’s world are the icing on top.” —Liv Albert, author of Greek Mythology: The Gods, Goddesses, and Heroes Handbook and creator of Let’s Talk About Myths, Baby! podcast
