The scent warms up, the powdery iris overtakes almost everything experienced in the opening, and the fragrance starts to project even more. This note is present almost until the fragrance fades away from your skin. One thing I wish it stayed longer would be the iris. By the time the fragrance reaches the dry down, the floral aspects are gone and don’t get me wrong the dry down remains great, but it would have been nice if that floral edginess stayed during the whole wake of the scent. Oriental and powdery fragrances shine the most in fall and winter. Although it is mainly a clubbing and romantic perfume, Dior Homme Intense also works great in the workspace.This scent has been created with a beautiful combination of essences that give it its woody, musky and sensual nature. First of all, it is the essential oil of lavender, a great classic that offers the top note of this fragrance. Then comes the Tuscan iris, once reserved for Greek and Egyptian kings and princes. The subtlety of its woody scents, which are reminiscent of those of violets, has been amplified in the laboratories of perfumer Dior. This essence is associated with hibiscus, whose seeds give its musky accents to constitute the heart note of this fragrant perfume, which also draws its intensity from Virginia cedar.
