You could argue that Tetsuo engages in this as well, given that he calls himself a “murderer”, despite his actions being the clearest-cut case of self-defense you could ask for. What would you do if someone you loved is threatened and you have to resort to drastic measures? The author puts you in the main character's position and it feels very realistic. The stuff that happens seem unlikely to happen yet the author still manages to make you feel like it could. The only complaint I have is that the main character is a little too composed in certain situations but even then, there isn't much he can do except be calm. When he is discovered by Nobuto, Tetsuo ends up killing him in the ensuing fight. Assisted by his wife, Tetsuo hides the body in fear of retaliation from the yakuza. To add to the misfortune of the Tosu family, Nobuto happens to be the son of the mafia's head. Considered to be prime suspects behind Nobuto's disappearance, Tetsuo and his wife will have to deploy all their ingenuity to protect their daughter from the yakuza and their ruthless investigation. A exception to this is our protagonist, Tetsuo. He's a very well written character and has the most development of the cast as the story progresses and he become each time more and more decided to do anything for the well-being of his family, doesn't matter what it costs for others and himselfs, but all the while constantly being haunted by the sins he commited to do so.
