About this deal

This fully-auto beast is lightweight, powerful, and has that nasty look about it that screams, “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! “It also topped our list of the best Nerf guns of 2023. Nemesis Features Another thing you’ll notice if you’ve upgraded from a NERF dart blaster is that Rival rounds just don’t seem to jam. I’ve not had a single one jam ever. These foam balls are really durable, too. It has a rather small ammo capacity, only holding five Rival Rounds in its internal magazine. However, in my testing, I was able to cram six rounds in without any feeding issues. Rate of Fire: These blasters can unload an insane amount of rounds every second. Some of which can fire up to 9 balls per second! Because it’s pump-action, the rate of fire fully depends on the user. However, this blaster does support slam-fire, which allows you to hold down the trigger and fire rounds by priming. With slam fire, you could easily empty the magazines in 10 seconds.

If you have just switched to firing rounds from the blaster, dude, you will enjoy this slam fire. Hold the trigger, pump the priming handle, and shoot the foam balls at high speed. However, the Rival Hades is a huge Nerf blaster; it may even be bigger than any other blaster you know. Therefore, there may be better options for smaller kids. Slam Fire The first thing that strikes you is that this is a very compact blaster for something that holds 30 rounds. One feature I really enjoy about this blaster is the included rechargeable NiMH battery. I truly dislike buying batteries, and I wish all nerf guns would just go this route. There are also 4 smaller rotating barrels in the muzzle on the front of the blaster. These barrels will rotate every time you arm the gun. The loading tube features a sort of a one-way entrance – or easy in, not so easy out entrance. This ensures that if you tip the blaster over you are not going to see 29 (it always happens then) balls rolling off under the couch. Rival Blasters target an older audience (14 years and up) due to their power and unique ammo type. While these blasters are generally safe, it’s wise to wear goggles to protect your eyes during play. When first launched, Rival blasters were not allowed in Australia because they didn’t meet local toy safety standards, emphasizing their power and intended audience. Sub Series The priming indicator does not indicate whether you have any ammo though, simply that you are primed, so no ammo, no dart, regardless of what the indicator says! Also, you cannot prime twice, so it is not entirely useful.

It’s a little heftier and awkward compared to other blasters, but that’s to be expected from a sniper-type blaster. FPS: Rival blaster fire at much higher speeds than traditional dart blasters. They typically range between 90 to 120 feet per second. Rival blasters are high-performance weapons that generally shoot rounds at 100 fps. As such, they’re not a child’s toy and are designed for older Nerfers. How Many Nerf Rival Guns Are There? Ammo: Rival blaster fire a unique round called High-Impact Rival Rounds. These ball-shaped rounds are made of soft foam and are designed to be highly accurate and fast!So when you prime it the barrels rotate like a Ferris wheel and the spring-loaded magazines push the rounds forward from the magazines. Initially, it will feed on the right magazine until this is depleted. Once it has emptied the right, it moves to the center and then the left. The Artemis XVII-3000 is named after Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, forests and hills, the moon, and archery. Artemis is also the twin sister of Apollo, which the Apollo XV-700 was named after. In the front, there is a sling attachment, and the muzzle has four barrels. The barrels rotate while shooting. In the trigger, there is a safety button that prevents unintentional firing. Once you prime the Nerf Rival, the priming indicator goes on.

The first and most important difference is the ammo type. Nerf Rival uses their branded High-Impact Rival Rounds—which are essentially little foam balls. These balls are quite impressive and brilliantly designed for three reasons. This is not too bad, but once in awhile, I found myself dry-fire and then have two rounds pop out a prime or two later. Now for the disappointment. You can only get this nerf gun in one color: Team Red. Sorry team blue fans. Roundhouse PerformanceFor its size, it holds an impressive 30 Rival Rounds in its three internal magazines. These magazines can’t be removed, but they are a breeze to load. The grip is comfortable to hold, and the priming indicator tells you to shoot when you are ready. Key features: The Artemis has an average performance compared to other Rival blasters. It shoots on average 90 to 100 fps with a range of 100 feet.
