Hold the GelTears tube just above your eye and gently squeeze until some gel falls into the gap between your eyeball and lower eyelid. Dispose of any remaining contents 28 days after first opening the tube. It may be helpful to make a written record on the tube of the date on which you opened it. GelTears is sterile until first opened. It is important to keep the tube as clean as possible during use.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via: Hylo-Tear Eye Drops eye drops are for use in the eyes only. Do not swallow. Insert 1 drop to the affected eyes as and when it is needed. How to use Hylo-Tear Eye Drops Delays also often occur at Easter because the depots are shut on Easter Monday & Good Friday and hence post builds up. The recommended dosage for adults, children and elderly is one or two drops topically instilled into the eye three times daily as needed, or as directed by a physician.

If you use more GelTears than you should it is very unlikely that you will suffer an overdose, but if you suddenly feel unwell after using the gel, tell your doctor or eye specialist.
