Wonderful fresh summer smell one off the best from John Varvatos very unique as are most of the fragrances from this company give it a try!The spiciness almost has a cooling effect, and there is a "rough" texture from one of the notes that I've only found in MFK Petit Matin and Dior Homme 2020. I feel this is a super casual fragrance and I wouldn't wear it in the office not because it is inappropriate but it just won't do it for you if you have other office bangers in your collection like Prada L'homme, Bleu de Chanel EDT, ADG Profumo, Terre d'Hermes EDT. They say if you don't smell it on yourself after 10 minutes of application, then this scent suits you. It's worth trying some of the other 'reminds me of' scents mentioned on the Artisan page too for same effect if you have them. I blind bought this based on reviews and my memory of smelling it on a tester strip a long time ago. And my own skin chemistry probably has a bit to do with how I'm perceiving this, please take this with a grain of salt. As it wears on, it softens, and it takes on a fluffy, almost "powdery" softness, which, to my nose, doesn't translate as iris or orris, but it's very pleasing and inviting, contrasting the bright, bracing zest from the top.
