Theres plenty of action and suspense throughout this volume, making it an exciting read from start to finish that will keep fans engaged until the end!

In December 2016, a Tokyo Ghoul:re novel series written by Shin Towada and illustrated by Sui Ishida began publication by Shueisha in JUMP j-BOOKS weekly magazine. [4] No. Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to Tokyo Ghoul, was serialised in Weekly Young Jump from October 16, 2014 to July 5, 2018, and has been released from December 2014 to July 2018 in 16 tankōbon volumes. [11] [12] Viz released the first English volume on October 17, 2017. [13] Tokyo Ghoul [ edit ] No. The art style is beautiful and detailed, providing an immersive experience for readers as they explore this alternate universe. As Haise confronts Shuu, Eto, the leader of the Aogiri appears to intervene, and Haise regains his lost memories as Kaneki, becoming stronger than ever, enough to defeat Eto, although she manages to escape. In the occasion, he also allows Shuu to flee after remembering about him as well. Upon confirming that Eto is in fact his favourite author Sen Takatsuki, Haise exposes and arrests her, but complies with her request to make one last statement to the press, in which she reveals to the world that she is a ghoul. Meanwhile, on a recoinassance mission to the headquarters of Aogiri Tree, Mutsuki is captured by Torso.Tokyo Ghoul: re, Vol. 2 is the second volume of the Tokyo Ghoul manga series, written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. This volume follows the story of Ken Kaneki as he continues his struggle against the ghouls of Tokyo. The story is full of intense action and thrilling suspense, and readers will be captivated by every twist and turn. With stunning artwork and a gripping narrative, this volume is sure to be a hit with fans of the series. This volume skilfully turned the tables, going quite a ways towards humanising ghouls and dehumanising humans through the inclusion of the new characters: the government agents, aka the doves. Interestingly, despite the doves’ hypocritical stance on justice and having no qualms about killing ghouls that are technically children, the manga didn’t shy away from exploring this or attempt to do it half-heartedly, instead it gave the main investigator, Amon, a solid and relevant motivation for his actions. This was confusing to say the least as that meant there wasn’t a clear antagonist, but that also worked in this vol’s favour because it really makes the reader think and engage with the content. Tokyo Ghoul Vol 2 falls under the horror/action genre of manga/anime. It tells a compelling story filled with intense action scenes and horror elements that will leave readers on edge throughout its entirety. I really love how Touka teaches Ken through comparison. Her reactions to everything is from the POV of a ghoul, and they contrast Ken's POV as an ex-human. We see that she feels just as keenly to lose someone she knows. That she feels impotent and must act despite the consequences. It really builds sympathy in Ken but also the reader as we consider that the monsters on the other side might just be trying to survive as well and feel as strongly as a human does. To that end I like that neither the ghoul or the human side is positioned as the villains of the Tokyo Ghoul series. No there are good and bad on both sides. A: Tokyo Ghoul Vol 3 is about Ken Kaneki’s struggle to survive in a hostile human world populated by ghouls like himself. Along with his allies, he must fight for a place to live while also dealing with themes of morality and identity throughout the story.

The art was much the same as Tokyo Ghoul, Vol. 1—that is to say, pretty good—and, noticeably, the action art was slightly more readable this time, so there was some improvement on that front.I'm surprised to be saying this but I will be continuing to read the series after Tokyo Ghoul vol 2. I want to get the full sense of Ken and see how he grows into being a ghoul and what humanity he retains in such a brutal and harsh world. To say this is an epic journey is to look forward to the journey the Tokyo Ghoul series just very barely reveals in the first two volumes!
